American Liberty Hospitality has inked an agreement with Marriott International for the development of a dual-branded hotel in Bastrop, Texas.
ALH—a Texas-based hotel development and management company—purchased a site within Sendero, a 75-acre master-planned mixed-use development in the Bastrop area. Construction on the Fairfield by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott, Bastrop, Texas, is expected to begin later this year with the property projected to open in early 2027.
The property will have an outdoor pool and a full-service bar, amenities which go beyond typical brand standards, according to Nick Massad III, chief development officer at ALH.
“We’re excited to introduce an elevated hotel experience to Bastrop and to work with trusted collaborators like Marriott and a local lender,” he said in a statement. “Central Texas is growing fast and we’re proud to be part of that momentum by investing in the community and expanding our presence in the region.”
Bastrop has emerged as a hub for innovation and large-scale investment, particularly from high-profile companies such as Tesla, Acutronic USA,and the Bastrop 552 film and TV campus. Elon Musk’s ventures, including SpaceX’s $280 million semiconductor R&D facility, The Boring Company’s headquarters and the planned Snailbrook company town also are driving development.
This development marks the company’s fourth dual-brand project, following developments such as the 300-room Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites Houston Medical Center; the 319-room Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge Suites Houston Galleria; and the 300-room Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites Houston Downtown.
