Galaxy Hotels opens Nevada Courtyard

Frisco, Texas-based Galaxy Hotels Group has opened the new-build Courtyard by Marriott Reno Sparks in northern Nevada. The 127-room, four-story hotel is near the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, home to major tech companies.

Galaxy Hotels Group, also known as Galaxy Management, is an approved Marriott International franchisee, hotel developer and management company that operates hotels across nine U.S. states. The Courtyard by Marriott Reno Sparks is Galaxy’s sixth hotel in Nevada. Galaxy operates a total of 900 hotel keys in the state.

“Northern Nevada is experiencing impressive economic growth. To support the area’s growing demand, we’re excited to welcome guests to our brand new Courtyard by Marriott Reno Sparks, where they can experience elevated accommodations and hospitality,” Jag Dhillon, chief executive officer, Galaxy Hotels Group, said in a statement.

The exterior is designed in desert tones along with a porte-cochere. The interior color palette is in blues and grays with pops of color. Guestrooms have plush bedding, a pull-out sofa, minifridge, microwave and flexible workspace. The bathrooms have tile floors, large lighted bathroom mirror and walk-in shower or tub option.

Public spaces include an indoor pool and 1,700-square-foot fitness center with cardio equipment, elliptical machines, exercise bikes, treadmills, and free weights.

The Bistro serves breakfast and dinner, coffee and evening cocktails, while while the Crate market serves grab-n-go options 24/7. The communal lobby area has plenty of seating, a printer and media pods. The outdoor courtyard has a firepit. The property also has one meeting room and one collaboration room for a combined 845 square feet. It also has a dry cleaning service and self-serve laundry.
