The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley has opened in Park City, Utah. The property has 436 accommodations, including 55 residences and several culinary concepts.
The resort anchors the newly developed Deer Valley East Village–the first alpine village of its kind in North America since 1981, which is being developed by Extell Development Company against the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains. Grand Hyatt Deer Valley provides direct access to Deer Valley Resort, including the 300+ new skiable acres, 20 debut runs and three new chairlifts, and is expected to open for the 2024/2025 season in December, conditions permitting.
Accommodations and Pools
The resort's 381 guestrooms have oversized windows for looking at the landscape. Designed by Denver-based OZ Architecture, the hotel’s aesthetic was inspired by the region's mining history and nearby Wasatch Mountains, incorporating a mix of materials, including metals and stone. Standard rooms have walk-in closets. Meanwhile, 55 residential suites have balconies, kitchenettes and fireplaces. All rooms have 55-inch flat-screen HDTVs, Nespresso coffee makers, blackout curtains and minifridges.
Water attractions include a heated outdoor pool, three oversized hot tubs and a pool deck that becomes a nighttime entertainment venue. The resort’s spa is set to open in mid-2025.
Food and Beverage
Led by Hyatt Chef Marc Marrone, Executive Chef Viktor Merenyi and New York City Mixologist Frank Maldonado, Grand Hyatt Deer Valley's culinary concepts include:

- Hidden Ace: This speakeasy-style bar focuses on whisky-forward cocktails and features live music and DJ sets.
- Living Room: The Living Room promotes relaxation around a large fireplace. The venue serves "High Chocolate"—an elevated hot chocolate experience with tiered trays.
- Double Blacks: This street-side coffee shop runs in collaboration with Park City Coffee Roasters for sweet and savory options.
Meetings and Events
The resort has nearly 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space including a grand 10,000-square-foot ballroom, making it one of the largest conference destinations in Park City. The property provides in-house audiovisual support, custom digital signage and a garage-style entrance for large displays and vehicles.
