Sonesta International Hotels Corp. has opened the Sonesta Essential Baton Rouge, La., a 77-room, upper-midscale hotel converted from a former Comfort Inn & Suites. The hotel is close to Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge Municipal Airport, the Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, Mississippi River, USS Kidd Veteran’s Museum and Capitol Park Museum.
