Ohio’s Grand Resort recognized by U.S. News and World Report

Following a redesign of its guest rooms earlier this year and more than $30 million in capital improvements since 2019, The Grand Resort has been named Best Resort in Ohio by U.S. News & World Report (2025).

The guestroom redo of the Warren, Ohio hotel was designed to elevate the luxury property's accommodations with sophisticated, comfort-first design and modern luxury finishes. From expanded amenities—such as a full-service Med-Spa, golf club, wellness facilities and fine dining, to its curated experience model, The Grand Resort is redefining upscale travel in the Midwest, according to the company.

“The hospitality sector is an increasingly competitive and experience-driven industry,” Kelli Denman, general manager at The Grand Resort, said in a statement. “We’re investing not only in our property, but in the long-term growth of the tourism economy in Northeast Ohio.”

The resort’s transformation has driven increased visitation to the region, boosted local business partnerships and helped raise Trumbull County’s profile as a year-round destination, according to the company.

According to Beth Kotwis Carmichael, CEO of Trumbull Tourism, “recent tourism data shows that visitor spending continues to rise across the region. The Grand Resort plays a leading role in that trend, serving as both a hospitality anchor and a high-impact contributor to the Northeast Ohio travel economy, which represents over $15 billion in direct visitor spending.”
