Sonesta Los Angeles Airport LAX has completed a $42 million renovation. The property now has updated guestrooms, a modernized lobby, 14,000 square feet of reimagined event spaces—including the Sonesta Work Suite—and four dining venues.
“Our renovations redefine what it means to stay near LAX,” Robert Routh, general manager of Sonesta LAX, said in a statement. “While we have always been the go-to choice for travelers with our 24-hour complimentary airport shuttle, the new design enhances comfort, convenience and style. From fresh, mid-century modern interiors to upgraded dining options and our innovative Work Suite, we have created a space that seamlessly blends function and relaxation.”
Updated Guestrooms
Each of the hotel’s 614 guestrooms now have modern furnishings, including work desks with ergonomic chairs, large HD TVs, Keurig coffee makers and mini-refrigerators. All King rooms include a pull-out sofa bed. All double-bed rooms have been upgraded to include two queen beds—224 in total.
Five exclusive suites on the upper floors range from 610 to 1,400 square feet and include Nespresso coffee machines and 65-inch TVs.
New Work Suite and Event Spaces
The highlight of the revamped event spaces is the introduction of the Sonesta Work Suite, a multifunctional meeting environment with seating for up to 12. The suite is designed for board meetings, brainstorming sessions and executive retreats.
The hotel’s 15 meeting rooms, including the 5,876-square-foot Continental Ballroom, offer flexible configurations.
Renovated Restaurants
Sonesta LAX now has four updated dining options: Yokoso Sushi Bar serves modern Japanese cuisine; Century Taproom & Lounge serves California-inspired pub fare, including brick-oven pizzas and a curated draft selection; The Landing Restaurant serves breakfast; and Boulevard Market Café serves grab-and-go options.
