A number of hotels and a hotel companies announced new sales and marketing leads in recent days. Here are some names to know.
Hotel Granada
Lucits Dean is the new director of sales at Hotel Granada, the boutique hotel by Aparium Hotel Group that opened in Midtown Atlanta this August.
Dean brings more than 17 years of hospitality experience to her position. She started out working as night auditor during her time at Houston Community College, where she earned her degree in Business Entrepreneurship. Other leadership roles have included director of sales for EVEN Hotels and task force sales for Schulte Hospitality, as well as sales manager and director of sales and marketing for Crown Plaza Houston, Hyatt Regency North Houston and several Holiday Inn properties across the greater Houston area.
Pacifica Hotels
Leslie Mercado has been hired as regional director of sales at Pacifica Hotels. Before stepping into her new role, Mercado spent 11 years as director of sales and marketing at DoubleTree Golf Resort Palm Springs. Her illustrious career also includes positions at Pala Mesa Resort, Pala Mesa Casino & Spa and JC Resorts.
Sagamore Pendry Baltimore
Pendry Hotels & Resorts appointed Katherine “Kati” Gregory as the new director of sales and marketing of Sagamore Pendry Baltimore. Kati has recently relocated to Baltimore and will oversee all aspects of group and transient business, catering sales, meetings and events as well as marketing and public relations for the waterfront hotel.
Gregory began her career with Hilton, representing five Chicago hotels, and went on to lead the sales team for W Hotels Chicago, where she helped oversee the transition from Starwood to Marriott. She later introduced Convene to the Chicago market as area director of sales, guiding the team through the opening of four properties. Most recently, she was director of sales and marketing at the Thesis Hotel Miami in South Florida.
Seacliff Inn
Pacifica Hotels appointed Bridgette Quartararo director of sales at the Seacliff Inn in Aptos, Calif. Quartararo most recently was the director of sales and marketing at a Courtyard by Marriott. She also held roles at Seascape Beach Resort and San Ysidro Ranch.
Velas Resorts
Velas Resorts in Mexico appointed Mauricio Patino regional sales director for meetings and incentives. Patino has more than two decades of expertise in sales, marketing, hotel operations and business development.
Throughout his career, Patino has worked with a number of hotel brands and travel organizations. He is an active member of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence and is set to serve as President of the Florida & Caribbean Chapter in 2025. Previous experience includes the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism, Dolce Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
