The Chicago Hotel Collection, a portfolio of independent boutique hotels, has acquired the Ambassador Chicago, a historic property in the Gold Coast neighborhood. Under new ownership, the hotel aims to honor its legacy while introducing modern enhancements.
"We are thrilled to welcome Ambassador Chicago into our collection," W. Pierce Hutchings, manager of The Chicago Hotel Collection, said in a statement. "This acquisition aligns with our vision to blend historic properties with contemporary, guest-centric experiences."
The hotel has 285 guestrooms, a lobby lounge and an upcoming dining concept. The renovation aims to balance historic charm and modern style.
"Chicago is a world-class travel destination, and we're excited to invest further in its dynamic hospitality industry," Hutchings said. "We are preserving a landmark while ushering in a new era of boutique hospitality."
