MCR acquires Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago

MCR has acquired Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago. The 11-story, 1,095-room hotel in Rosemont, Ill., underwent a $13 million guestroom renovation in 2020. This is the company’s first Hyatt Regency-branded hotel acquisition and its fifth hotel in Illinois.

Situated in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, the hotel is located five minutes from the Chicago O’Hare International Airport — the fifth-busiest airport in the U.S., serving 74 million passengers annually.

Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago is conveniently connected via skywalk to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. The venue, which has more than 840,000-square-feet of exhibition space, hosts a full calendar of events including the International Gem & Jewelry Show, the Illinois Bridal & Wedding Expo and The Chicago Sports Spectacular.

The surrounding area is a buzzing corporate hub, with more than 18 million square feet of office space. It’s home to the headquarters of U.S. Foods, Wintrust, the Big Ten Conference and Reyes Holdings. All are located within a few blocks of the hotel.

The hotel has three dining options, including the full-service Red Bar & Lounge in the evenings and O’H American Grill for daily breakfast buffet and lunch service. Starbucks coffee, pastries and sundries can be found at Perks To-Go. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day.
