Wyoming firm acquires historic South Carolina hotel

Crystal Creek Capital, a Jackson Hole, Wyo.-based private equity real estate investment firm, has acquired Planters Inn, a boutique hotel in the Historic District of Charleston, S.C. CCC will also take over the day-to-day management of the 64-room hotel, which was originally built in 1844 as a luxury goods emporium.

Planters Inn is Charleston’s only Relais & Châteaux property. CCC is planning a renovation with the intention of connecting the history of Charleston to the hotel and the guest experience.

“We are incredibly proud to be a part of the Charleston community and intend to be great stewards of this beloved hotel by honoring its incredible legacy,” Jamie Yarrow, president of Crystal Creek Hospitality, said in a statement. “Charleston is a vibrant city, rich in culture, historic architecture, with an exciting arts and dynamic culinary scene, and our goal is to infuse Planter’s Inn with the city’s undeniable allure, to ensure it remains a beacon of Southern hospitality for generations to come.”
